The Big Pitch Contest Rules
THE BIG PITCH — OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR LIKELIHOOD OF WINNING. THIS IS A SKILL-BASED CONTEST; WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN BASED UPON THE JUDGING CRITERIA CONTAINED IN SECTIONS 5 THROUGH 7. INTERNET ACCESS IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
SPONSOR OBTAINS RIGHTS, INCLUDING OWNERSHIP, FROM ENTRANTS TO CONTENT SUBMITTED AS PART OF THE CONTEST.
THIS CONTEST IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED, ENDORSED OR ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH ANY THIRD-PARTY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM.
PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. BY ENTERING (OR OTHERWISE PARTICIPATING) IN THE CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH CREATE A CONTRACT. WITHOUT LIMITATION, SUCH CONTRACT INCLUDES GRANTS OF RIGHTS AND INDEMNITIES TO SPONSOR FROM YOU, A CLASS ACTION WAIVER, AND A LIMITATION OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING YOUR SUBMISSION: By entering this Contest, you permanently give up all rights to the idea you submit. From the moment you submit your entry, Rocket Mortgage, LLC owns your idea — including the right to develop, enhance, commercialize, create derivative works from, or use it in any way, indefinitely — regardless of whether you are selected as a Finalist or Winner. You will not receive compensation, royalties, or credit of any kind for the use of your idea beyond any prize described in these Official Rules. You will be required to acknowledge this forfeiture by checking a box on the submission form before your entry will be accepted. Please read Section 9 (Intellectual Property Assignment, Waiver, and Indemnification) carefully before entering.
1. SPONSOR
This contest (the "Contest") is sponsored by Rocket Mortgage, LLC., located at 1050 Woodward Avenue, Detroit MI, 48226 ("Sponsor"). By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
2. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open only to natural persons who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia who, at the time of entry, meet all of the following requirements:
· Must meet age of majority in state of residence;
· Hold a valid NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System) license number that is active and in good standing in the wholesale mortgage or non-delegated correspondent lending space at the time of submission (retail licensees are not eligible); and
· Have access to and agree to use the designated submission platform.
Residents of U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands) are not eligible to enter.
This Contest is open to individuals only. Group or collaborative entries are not permitted. If two or more individuals collaborate on an idea, only the individual who submits the entry will be recognized as the entrant, Finalist, or Winner. No other contributor or collaborator shall have any claim to any prize, recognition, or rights under these Official Rules, and by submitting, the entrant represents and warrants that they have full authority to submit the idea on an individual basis and to assign all rights therein to Sponsor pursuant to Section 9.
Employees, officers, directors, agents, and contractors of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) and household members are not eligible to participate.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
3. CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins on June 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) ("Entry Open Date") and ends on June 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (ET) ("Entry Deadline"). Entries submitted before the Entry Open Date or after the Entry Deadline will not be considered. Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeping device for this Contest.
4. HOW TO ENTER
During the Contest Period, eligible entrants may submit entries by completing the following steps for each submission:
1. Visit https://www.rocketpro.com/the-big-pitch and complete the submission form in its entirety.
2. Submit a video pitch between two (2) and three (3) minutes in length that includes:
o The entrant's original pitch idea; and
o Responses to all questions included in the submission form.
There is no limit to the number of Submissions an individual Entrant may submit, provided each Submission is a distinct and separate pitch idea. Each Submission must independently satisfy all entry requirements.
As part of the submission process, Entrants will be required to check a box on the submission form explicitly acknowledging that, by submitting, they are permanently forfeiting all rights to their submitted idea and that ownership transfers irrevocably to Sponsor at the moment of submission, as set forth in Section 9 of these Official Rules. Submissions made without completing this acknowledgment will be deemed incomplete and ineligible.
Incomplete submissions will not be eligible to win. Submissions that are missing any required component — including the video, submission form responses, or any other required element — will be disqualified. Entries submitted by any other means or on behalf of another individual will be disqualified.
Duplicate or Substantially Similar Submissions. If two or more Entrants submit ideas that are identical or substantially similar, only the Submission received first by Sponsor's systems will be eligible for judging and to win. All later-received duplicate or substantially similar Submissions will be deemed ineligible and will not be evaluated, regardless of who submits them. Sponsor's determination of similarity and Submission order is final.
All Submissions become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By submitting an entry, all intellectual property rights in the Submission transfer immediately and irrevocably to Sponsor as set forth in Section 9 of these Official Rules.
Submission Restrictions. Submissions may not contain, as determined by Sponsor’s sole discretion, any content that:
· Is sexually explicit or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; obscene or offensive;
· Feature celebrities or public figures (or anyone else who has not given consent to be included for the purposes of this Contest);
· Promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group, individual or animal, or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
· Promotes irresponsible or excessive consumption of alcohol; promotes illegal drugs or the use of legal cannabis or psislocybin mushrooms, tobacco, firearms/weapons/ammunition, gambling, pornography, or any particular political agenda or message;
· Defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people, companies or organizations;
· Contains trademarks, trade names or copyrighted materials owned by others;
· Contains any personal identification information of others unless consented to in writing;
· Communicates messages inconsistent with the positive and friendly images and/or goodwill to which Sponsor wishes to associate;
· Contains competitive products of Sponsor; and/or
· Violates any law or infringes upon rights, including without limitation, privacy, publicity, intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement of any other person, company or organization.
5. JUDGING — FINALIST SELECTION
All eligible Submissions will be reviewed by an internal judging panel assembled by Sponsor (the "Panel"). The Panel will evaluate submissions based on the following five (5) categories, each carrying equal weight:
Category
Description
Business Impact
The degree to which the idea could drive measurable value for the business.
Market Relevance
How well the idea addresses a current or emerging need in the market.
Feasibility Within Timeline
The practicality of building a working prototype within the available timeframe.
Integration Into Ecosystem
The idea's compatibility with and ability to integrate into Sponsor's existing platform and infrastructure.
Internal Considerations
Factors such as marketability, internal adoption potential, and strategic alignment.
The Panel will select three (3) Finalists based on the criteria above. The Panel's decisions are final.
Tiebreaker Process. In the event of a tie in scores between two or more submissions during Finalist selection, the following tiebreaker process will apply:
1. Round One — Originality Vote: All judges on the Panel will cast a vote based solely on the originality of the tied submissions. The submission receiving the most votes for originality will advance.
2. Round Two — Senior Judge Override: If a tie persists after the originality vote, the vote of the judge on the Panel with the greatest length of tenure at Sponsor's organization will carry additional weight and will serve as the final tiebreaker. That judge's determination is final and binding.
Finalist Announcement: The three (3) Finalists will be publicly announced on July 7, 2026 on Sponsor's official contest landing page and social media channels.
6. PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT
Sponsor will arrange for a working prototype of each Finalist's submitted idea to be developed at Sponsor's expense. As noted in Section 9, Sponsor owns all rights to the Submission from the moment of entry. Finalists may be asked to participate in the development process and may be required to execute additional agreements, including a release of liability and any documents needed to perfect Sponsor's ownership of the Submission, as a condition of remaining eligible to win.
Sponsor reserves the right to make reasonable modifications to a submitted idea during the prototyping process.
Finalist Withdrawal. If a Finalist voluntarily withdraws from the Contest at any time prior to the winner being selected at the Rocket Pro Experience (“RPX”) event, that Finalist will be immediately disqualified and will forfeit all rights to their Submission, including any claim to the prize. The IP assignment set forth in Section 9 shall remain fully in effect upon withdrawal — withdrawal does not restore any rights in the Submission to the entrant. In the event of a Finalist withdrawal, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to: (a) select an alternate Finalist from the remaining eligible entries; (b) proceed with two (2) Finalists at the Event; or (c) take such other action as Sponsor deems appropriate.
7. VOTING AND WINNER SELECTION
Winner selection will occur in two (2) phases: an online public voting period followed by a live audience vote at RPX. Votes from both phases will be combined to determine the winner.
7.1 Voting Criterion
In both phases, voters will be asked to evaluate the three (3) Finalist prototypes based on the following objective criterion:
Vote for the submission you believe will have the greatest positive impact on the wholesale lending community's ability to conduct business — whether by making processes easier, faster, or delivering other meaningful improvements in today's market environment.
7.2 Voter Eligibility
Voting in both phases is open to any individual who holds a valid NMLS license number that is active and in good standing in the wholesale or non-delegated correspondent lending space at the time of voting. Proof of active NMLS status may be required to participate along with valid email address and/or SMS. Finalists and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to vote. Each eligible NMLS license number may be used to cast one (1) vote total, across both phases combined. Once a vote has been cast under a given NMLS number — whether during Phase One or Phase Two — the vote will be locked in and final. An NMLS number will not be permitted to vote again. Attempts to cast more than one vote per NMLS number will be disqualified.
7.3 Phase One — Online Public Vote
Beginning July 7, 2026, the three (3) Finalist Submissions will be made available for public viewing and voting on Sponsor's official contest landing page (the "Voting Page"). Online voting will remain open through a designated cutoff time during RPX on September 1, 2026 (the "Voting Deadline"), as announced by Sponsor at the Event and on the Voting Page. Online voting will close at the same time as Phase Two voting to allow Sponsor sufficient time to tally all votes and announce the winner during the Event.
Eligible voters may cast their vote by visiting the Voting Page and following the instructions provided. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any votes that appear to be fraudulent, automated, or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules.
7.4 Phase Two — Live Event Vote
The three (3) Finalist prototypes will also be presented live at the RPX Event, scheduled for September 1, 2026 in Detroit, MI. During RPX, eligible attendees who have not already voted during Phase One will have the opportunity to cast their vote via the Voting Page. Both Phase One and Phase Two voting will close simultaneously at the Voting Deadline during the Event. Each NMLS will be allowed one vote throughout Phase One and Phase Two combined voting period.
7.5 Winner Determination
Following the close of voting, Sponsor will tally all votes from Phase One and Phase Two. The Finalist receiving the highest combined number of votes will be declared the winner and announced live at RPX.
Tiebreaker Process. In the event of a tie in scores between the Finalists for the winner selection, the following tiebreaker process will apply:
8. PRIZE
Grand Prize (1): One Hundred Thousand Dollars (US $100,000), awarded in cash.
Total Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of all prizes: $100,000.
There is one (1) Grand Prize winner. No other prizes will be awarded. The two (2) non-winning Finalists will receive no cash, compensation, or other prize.
The Grand Prize will be announced live at RPX following the determination of the winning audience vote.
Finalists are not required to be present at RPX to win. Following the determination of the winning audience vote, Sponsor will notify the winner via email and phone on or promptly after the day of RPX. Prize will be delivered to the winner upon execution of all required winner acceptance documentation, which Sponsor will provide to the winner following notification. Failure or refusal to execute the required documentation within (8) hours of Sponsor's notification will result in forfeiture of the prize, and Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner in its sole discretion.
No prize substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent is permitted, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. All federal, state, and local income taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the prize amount to the extent required by applicable law.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ASSIGNMENT, WAIVER, AND INDEMNIFICATION
9.1 Absolute Assignment
By submitting a Submission, and as a condition of participation, each Entrant hereby irrevocably, unconditionally, and exclusively assigns, transfers, and conveys to Sponsor, in perpetuity and throughout the universe, all right, title, and interest of any kind or nature — whether now known or hereafter devised — in and to the submitted idea, concept, pitch, video, and all related materials, documentation, and content (collectively, the "Submission"), including without limitation:
· All copyrights and rights of authorship;
· All patent rights, mask rights, and other industrial rights, including rights to file patent applications;
· All trade secret rights;
· All trademark and trade dress rights arising from the Submission;
· All rights in any derivative works, adaptations, enhancements, modifications, improvements, or extensions of the Submission, whether made by Sponsor or any third party acting on Sponsor's behalf, before or after the conclusion of the Contest;
· All other intellectual property or proprietary rights of any kind recognized in any jurisdiction nationwide; and
· All income, royalties, damages, claims, and payments now or hereafter due or payable with respect to any of the foregoing.
This assignment is effective automatically and irrevocably at the moment of submission, requires no further act by entrant, and is not conditioned upon selection as a Finalist or Winner.
9.2 Scope of Sponsor's Rights
From the moment of submission and continuing indefinitely, Sponsor shall have the sole and exclusive right to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, transmit, modify, adapt, enhance, improve, create derivative works from, commercialize, license, sublicense, sell, assign, or otherwise exploit the Submission — in whole or in part, in any form, format, medium, or technology, whether now existing or hereafter developed — for any purpose whatsoever, without restriction, without notice to entrant, and without any obligation of compensation, royalty, attribution, or credit to entrant of any kind.
Entrant expressly acknowledges that:
· Entrant retains no rights of any kind in or to the Submission from the moment of entry;
· Sponsor's rights extend to all enhancements, modifications, and improvements made to the Submission after the Contest concludes, and Sponsor shall own all such derivative works exclusively and without limitation;
· No compensation, royalty, revenue share, or credit shall be owed to any entrant for Sponsor's use or exploitation of the Submission beyond any prize explicitly described in these Official Rules, and no such obligation shall arise under any theory of law or equity;
· Entrant shall have no right to use, reference, display, or claim any ownership interest in the Submission after the moment of entry; and
· Sponsor, its affiliates, or its parent companies may be already pursuing, developing, or evaluating concepts that are the same as, or similar to, the Submission.
9.3 Moral Rights Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, entrant hereby irrevocably waives any and all moral rights, rights of integrity, rights of attribution, rights of disclosure, rights of withdrawal, and any other non-assignable author's rights entrant may have in the Submission in any jurisdiction worldwide.
9.4 Representations, Warranties, and Indemnification
Entrant represents, warrants, and covenants that:
· The Submission is wholly original to the Entrant and has not been copied, in whole or in part, from any third party;
· Entrant is the sole and exclusive owner of all rights in the Submission and has full legal authority to make the assignment set forth in this Section 9;
· The Submission does not and will not infringe, misappropriate, dilute, or otherwise violate any intellectual property right, privacy right, right of publicity, contractual right, or any other right of any third party; and
· The Submission is not subject to any lien, encumbrance, license, option, or other restriction that would conflict with or limit the rights granted to Sponsor herein.
Indemnification. Entrant shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, "Sponsor Parties") from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) any breach or alleged breach of the foregoing representations, warranties, or covenants; (b) any claim by a third party that the Submission infringes or misappropriates such third party's intellectual property or other rights; or (c) any claim that entrant lacked authority to make the assignment set forth herein. This indemnification obligation shall survive the conclusion of the Contest and any termination of these Official Rules.
9.5 Further Assurances
Entrant agrees, at Sponsor's request and expense, to execute any additional assignments, instruments, or documents, and to take any further actions, reasonably necessary to perfect, record, or enforce Sponsor's ownership of the Submission and all rights assigned herein. In the event entrant fails to execute such documents within ten (10) days of Sponsor's written request, entrant hereby irrevocably appoints Sponsor as entrant's attorney-in-fact to execute such documents on entrant's behalf, which appointment is coupled with an interest and is irrevocable.
10. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND DATA USE
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time without notice if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest.
Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries; (b) technical malfunctions of any kind; (c) unauthorized human intervention; or (d) any other errors or problems of any kind.
By entering, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SPONSOR'S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THESE PROVISIONS.
